A seasoned Strategic Account Manager, Karen Baxter, joined Alliant Purchasing in 2020, leveraging over 30 years of industry experience. Beginning as an EMT and Water Safety Instructor in her hometown of Kentucky, Karen’s journey evolved as she transitioned to the local hospital in the early ’90s. In her role as Materials Manager at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center, she adeptly oversaw all purchasing and day-to-day operations, swiftly mastering the intricacies of the supply chain and GPO world.

Karen’s commitment to providing cost-effective products and services without compromising quality has been a hallmark of her career. Beyond the professional realm, Karen is an avid explorer of nature trails nationwide and international hiking destinations. Her participation in several half marathons and trail runs reflects her dedication to preparation and excellence, mirroring her focus on finding savings opportunities for Alliant Purchasing members.

She is inspired by Kobe Bryant’s philosophy that “Great things come from hard work and perseverance. No excuses,” Karen believes in the direct correlation between effort and reward. Her approach to building professional relationships with accounts involves identifying opportunities for savings and process improvements, aligning with members’ goals.
